A native of Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in performing arts as she grew as a child. She was an actor in the theater at her high school and also in the community theatre. After moving to Los Angeles, she studied theatre in The University of Southern California and played Belle the Princess on the stage in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for one year and an entire quarter. Although initially she was not a fan of the film's brutality and sexual violence, she eventually came to be convinced of the film's feminist tone as well as its powerful character. Butler played Jennifer Hills who, following being severely attacked by a forest cabin, and then gang-raped, seeks revenge against the culprits. The film was produced by Steven R.
